American Driving Academy is one of only 2 AAA Approved Driving Schools in Colorado, independently verified for curriculum quality, instructor credentials, and vehicle safety.
AAA approval is not automatic, and not something a school can give itself. To earn it, our program has to meet AAA’s nationally recognized standards. For your family, that means the quality here is measured against an outside benchmark, not just our own word.
American Driving Academy is the largest driving school in Colorado and is recognized by MADD as a driver education partner supporting its mission to end drunk and drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking and other drug use.
This partnership is far bigger than any web page. MADD advocates speak with our classes about the real cost of impaired driving, we work together to strengthen how we teach DUI and impaired-driving prevention, and we invest in shared awareness materials we put directly in students’ hands. It is a real, ongoing commitment to keeping Colorado’s newest drivers safe.

It is our network of partnerships and exclusive student discounts with Colorado schools, districts, safety organizations, legal advocates, and community institutions. Every one is designed to increase access to high-quality driver education and raise safety standards for young drivers.
Our current partners include AAA (American Automobile Association), Bachus & Schanker Injury Lawyers, Battle Mountain High School (Huskies) in Edwards, Denver East High School (Angels), Denver School of the Arts, Denver West High School (Cowboys), DSST Public Schools (all 8 charter high schools across Denver and Aurora), Eagle Valley High School (Devils) in Gypsum, Emily Griffith High School in Denver, George Washington High School (Patriots), Harrison School District 2 in Colorado Springs (including Sierra High School and Harrison High School), and Northeast Early College (Wolfpack) in Denver. Most of these partnerships include an exclusive student discount. Separately, students at Adams 12 Five Star Schools receive an exclusive discount on our drivers ed, though Adams 12 is not a formal partner. New partnerships and offers are added on a continual basis, and each has a dedicated page with complete details.

If you are new to Colorado or you don’t have driving experience, we offer driving lessons 7 days a week. These are 2-hour lessons with state-certified, patient, and friendly instructors.
You are required to pass the driver's license test in order to get your driver's license. After passing, you may be eligible to get your license that same day without even having to visit the DMV.
